Corinna & Hagen,
9/07- Just returned from Bonaire and are already missing our favorites: crab balls, blackened sashimi tuna and the world's best key lime pie. The week (Sept. 8-15th) went by too quickly, but we did manage to see a pod of dolphins during two dives and enjoy dinner at CB FOUR times! This was our third trip to the island and one of many wonderful evenings at Cactus Blue. Your warmth and hospitality, great conversation and heavenly cuisine are unsurpassed. We tell everyone we meet about you guys and proudly sport our CB gear. Hope to see you again in the Spring for trip #4. Thanks for making Bonaire feel like our home away from home!

Dear Hagen, Corinna, Sebastian, Florian and Christian, thank you so very much for taking good care of me during my recent stay. The food was to die for, the beer cold and the hospitality was over the top. You have the best restaurant that I have been in in a long time. Until we meet again, take care of each other and continue having fun with your guests. Next time you get the urge to travel to get wet, come back to Yap and I will show you the S/V Mnuw (my restaurant) and treat you to a couple of cold mugs of Manta Brew from my Stone Money Brewing Company. We might even find time for a manta ray or two.

Had two fabulous meals at Cactus Blue during our stay on Bonaire May 5-19. On our last night we had a table of 14 and everyone agreed it was the best meal during our stay on the island. Six of us ordered the key lime pie for dessert and none of us werre willing to share with the others. See you in 2008!

From the welcome back hug I received, to the key lime pie at the end of the meal, everything served and devoured was impeccable. I cannot wait for my next CB meal.
As a testament to the wonderful friends they have become to me, they are doing a bit of traveling with the family this summer and will be coming to Columbus ! So I get to spend some time with them, dining, maybe some shopping, and just generally catching up on each others lives.
I feel fortuate to have made so many genuine friends on Bonaire. I count Hagen and Corinna right at the top.
Hugs and I will see you in July !

Greetings Corinna and Hagen....
Let me make a recommendation for those visiting Bonaire! I have been to Bonaire twice now....without a doubt my favorite place in the world. I have eaten at most of the restaurants in Kralendijk and hands down Cactus Blue is the best. Corinna your warmth and welcome is a natural extension of the island's own. Hagen....your food is delicious, interesting, and unique. Keep me on the list for the cookbook and I hope to be back soon!

Corinna and Hagen,
We love Cactus Blue! Cathy and I dined there 2 nights during our stay during Jan 20 - Feb 3, 2007, and I would have been happy to eat there several more times. The food was exquisite, and the Caribbean Shrimp and Sweet Potato is to die for. After we tried the Key Lime Pie at your suggestion, we took 2 pieces back to our hotel to enjoy later.
Corinna, your hospitality and personality make the experience even more delightful. Yours is the finest restaurant on the island, and we wish you continued success for years to come. See you next year!

Hi Corinna,
My husband Steve & I dined with you on Wednesday & Thursday night. We came alone on Wednesday & then brought our dive shop group from Deep South Scuba in Jackson, MS on Thursday night. I don't know if you remember us or not but we had the same exact meal on both nights....crab & spinach dip & ceveche for appetizer, the cajun tuna entree & you gave us a piece of the best key lime pie in the world on Wednesday night. We wanted a piece on Thursday, but truly were too full to eat it. Oh how could I forget the wonderful drinks...I know...too much alcohol.. They were yummy! We'll be back next year & we will tell all of our friends to eat at Cactus Blue. The best restaurant on Bonaire. Sincerely, Pippi & Steve Lick

Dear Hagen and Corinna --
I am contacting you this way rather than on the Bonaire Talks message board, where I have been reading with interest the two threads (one with the complaints about your fliers, and the other praising you as an outstanding establishment). Frankly, I have never seen such a "tempest in a teapot" relative to the whining about your placing fliers on vehicles. Some people really need to get a life!! I thought that your responses to the complaints were logical, thoughtfully presented, and compelling. Sorry that you had to undergo such venomous attacks over such a little issue, in the grand scheme of things.
I was in Bonaire for my first visit there (diving trip)early last December, and do not recall seeing your place and did not hear about it. I am returning this December 2-10, staying at and diving with Buddy Dive Resort, and definitely plan to come in. Your menu looks great, the compliments on the BT message board are compelling, and it sounds like you two are great hosts and proprieters. I am looking forward to meeting you and to eating at Cactus Blue (hope you make GOOD maritinis!!! :o)

Corinna and Hagen,
Thanks for your hospitality during our recent visit to Bonaire. You have set up Cactus Blue with all 3 dining phases well covered - the mixology (particularly the Cactus Potions) got thing started, the entrees kept it going, and the deserts (to die for) brought our dining experience to a wonderful conclusion! As you know, we were there 4 times in 2 weeks so we were happy customers.
Good luck and we know that Cactus Blue will be a resounding success. Hope to get back soon.

The "S" Team dined at your restaraunt, our last night in town. There were 8 of us all together and we all had fantastic meals. The food was excellent, the service was terrific and the company was unforgetable. We will definitly be back. I will recommend this restaraunt, with confidence, to everyone that visits Bonaire. My only regret is that we waited until our last day to dine here. Thank you.
