'JA Abraham Blvd' under construction
Many of our visitors will have experienced the ongoing construction that has taken Bonaire by surprise. Buildings that were once left dormant for many years have been completed. Flamingo International Airport has undergone major modernization and so too has the boulevard that leads you to Cactus Blue. Unfortunately it is still not completed although we do have a completion date of the end of June 2000 and something..!
To help new visitors to the island as well as friends we have drawn a map which we hope will help you find us.

In true Cactus Blue form we have created a new “first” for Bonaire, by commissioning well known Bonaire artist, Henk Rozendaal, to create a painting which we plan to use the in various formats in the future, beit as a front cover to our calander or our soon to be published "Book of Recipies from Cactus Blue"
An unveiling party was held last Friday, December 21, 2007, at Cactus Blue. After everyone had enjoyed cocktails and snacks which included 'Pumpkin and Plantain Fritters', Fall-off-the-bone- Ribs', 'Crab Meat Balls' and 'Garlic Cheese Pizza Bread', both Corinna and I thanked our guests and local companies for their support, as well as Henk, the artist. Then, the tarp came off, and the new sign for Cactus Blue was seen for the first time in public. The title of the painting is, “Taste Something Delicious at Cactus Blue,” and will now be the restaurant’s main street sign.
International Award for Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry 2008.

Cactus Blue Bar & Restaurant was awarded a prestigious trophy for the year 2008 to honor 'outstanding establishments in the tourist, hotel and restaurant catering fields world wide'.
The selection committee also recognized both Corinna and Hagen, for their 'commitment to quality of service and cuisine' by awarding them a gold badge for "Global Quality Management"
"We were both very surprised and excited to have been selected for this Trophy and to receive a gold badge" said Corinna.
"We work hard together as a team to bring a high quality of service and cuisine to our guests at Cactus Blue" added Chef Hagen ~ Wednesday 17th October 2007.

They offer Standard Rooms, Ocean View Rooms and Deluxe Ocean View Rooms, this pricing will be on the Standard Room but we can adjust as needed. Eight nights based on double in Standard Room, round trip ground transfers 12 dives and taxes, this will be for Dec 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12.... Double Diver US$1322.00 per person December 13th room only until 1am of the 14th. US$50.00 per person tax is included.They can add meals.....US$12.00 per person per day breakfast..US$40.00 per person per day breakfast and dinner or US$60.00 per person per day three meals per day

Included in the package is a Manta Ray Awarness PADI Specialty Dive Certification, private guided dives with Bill Acker, the Manta Man, himself; a Pizza & movie night with slides and motion pictures of Manta Rays as well as Bill Acker talking about his life as a pioneer on the island of Yap and his experiences with these beautiful creatures; a limited edition t-shirt and a photo album on DVD of the trip. Accommodation at Manta Ray Bay Hotel and diving with Yap Divers are all part of the package.

After just celebrating their 1 st Anniversary, Hagen and Corinna complete the concept of Cactus Blue bar & restaurant by adding Caribbean ‘Gourmet Pizza’ to their already innovative and varied menu. “ Each pizza begins with our fresh dough that is made daily, we then add only the highest quality ingredients: including our homemade pizza sauce, quality cheeses, ocean fresh fish, lean meats and fresh vegetables. We bake our thin crust Pizzas on special stones that give us the special flavours we are looking for”, explains Hagen the chef and husband of Corinna. By taking their theme of Caribbean cuisine to the Pizza world, amazing toppings come together. Jambalaya Pizza with Shrimp, spicy Chorizo sausage and chicken or our original Jerk Pizza with Jerk rubbed chicken breast, pineapple, mozzarella & cheddar cheese.
